Ordered the Bang Bang shrimp @ KLFY. Have to say BBS was my favorite. Large shrimp with the rice! Topped off with chopped egg. Well worth the stop.
They bam bam shrimp are to die for got some for lunch today it was awesome. Seasoned perfectly and was cooking just right price was a bit higher but I feel it was worth it you won't walk away hungry.
What can I say that isn't already known about Hot Food? If you want good food, sure, go to Chick-fil-A. If you want great food, even better, go to Walk-On's or The Chimes. But if you want a taste of the South in a dish, then come to Hot Food Express. I've dined in and ordered from here countless times, and I've never had a bad experience. The food is incredible, and their portions will have you checking the scale the morning after. Hot Food, do you, and nothing else. Lafayette loves you, and to anyone coming from out of town--you're stealing our treasure!
Their food is always great and their portions are phenomenal!! you do have to wait a bit for your food but you know that it's being cooked nice and fresh so that is a definite plus!
I stopped here while in town for work. I ordered takeout....specifically the bang bang shrimp. They didn't disappoint. The food was hot and fresh and it didn't take long at all. This food was so good. The rice was well seasoned and had onion and green onion and ample shrimp in it. The place was clean and had a few tables to sit down. The lady who took my order was polite and didn't rush me after I said it was my first time. I'll definitely be back! I paid about $20 for the food and a bottle coke.

My husband loved his bang bang shrimp fried rice. I'm allergic to seafood so I went with the chicken fried rice. The only thing they don't tell you is that ALL of the fried rice is made with shrimp no matter what. So I had to bring my food back and order something else. My husband was completely done eating when I walked up to tell them they could just keep my food because we needed to go. That's when they found that it had been made, but never given to me. I'm sure my husband will want to stop in and grab fried rice from time to time, but there really isn't anything for me except fried chicken strips and fries.. The restaurant is clean and cool and that was a blessing in this heat. Also, they only have Pepsi products in the fountain drink options. Nothing diet except Dr Pepper (for those who are like me and prefer Coke Zero).
